Oh my Jesus the landlord is such a frustrating man. My room has been having this problem for whats going to be two years in a couple of months and it STILL does this! Every time we tell him about it what I assume he does is simply “fixes” the spot with the problem when he goes to the roof and that’s obviously not working. He needs to redo the whole fucking roof or something, apparently before we moved in here the ceiling in my room has collapsed before. I’m a really light sleeper so I had to share a bed with my brother, that dripping sound was beyond frustrating. So besides that little issue, starting today all my friends are officially employed! Looks like I’m the only one who still doesn’t have a job. I should change that once Summer is over, I’m going to be 20 pretty soon and don’t have much experience working outside the family business(which is something I want to get out of.) I’m still waiting for an email from Brooklyn College telling me if I got in or not. I’d assume I’m getting in no problem since I definitely have the grades for it but I need to pick out classes for the Fall semester, I have no doubt that I’ll have a shitty schedule since I still haven’t gotten to apply. I just hope it’s not too shitty. The good news is that Brooklyn College is a lot closer to home than my previous school was. It took me about an hour to get home when I went over there compared to the nearly two hour ride home from my previous college. Also getting Persona 4: Golden today. Hopefully it arrives early so I can play it!
Since I’m getting a new Vita game today I attempted to beat Magusar again in Soul Sacrifice. When I originally went up against him he killed me quickly, but when I tried again he’s really easy. I destroyed him, man. Only had to heal like twice and that was it. I liked the ending, it was pretty tragic, but that makes sense since the game’s lore isn’t a happy one. I’m planning on beating Magusar again to watch the save ending and see how that turns out. Also, just cause I beat the final boss doesn’t mean I’m done. Still got a bunch of Avalon Pacts I haven’t completed plus multiplayer is a blast to play.
Now that school is done I’ve just been relaxing and playing some games. Although not as much as I usually do since E3 was this week, overall it was a great show this year. Plus, I’ve been busy going to the gym, trying to get in better shape. So far I’ve gotten around to beating Bastion and stealthy completed Sly Cooper 4 Thieves in Time. Sly Cooper’s final boss was trash, the entire fight was quick time events. I despise those with a passion, hopefully we see less of those next-gen. I’m still playing through Soul Sacrifice, I’ve been neglecting my poor Vita(and so has Sony if E3 is anything to go by). All that I got left to do is beat Magusar, story wise that is. I still got a bunch of multiplayer quest that I haven’t beaten. I noticed a lot of people online only do sacrifice, it’s pretty annoying since I’m trying to go 99/1, but oh well.
I’ve ordered me a new game too, Persona 4: Golden. I pretty much already know what happens plot wise since I’ve seen the anime but I hear it’s a great game even if you already know the plot. I hope it’s not too grindy like Persona 3 was. I mean I’ll still beat it, it’s just that if it is, it’ll take me a lot longer. So since I’m getting Golden I thought I should try to beat Persona 4: Arena. I’ve been having it since Black Friday and I only bought it for the story mode, I don’t really like fighting games so I don’t care for the online or any of that. While I’ll be playing that on my PS3 I’ll also be playing Max Payne on PC. By the way, Max Payne is HARD! Holy shit, man. It’s so hard I had to switch the game over to easy. I really suck at shooting games. Normally I like to only play two games at a time but I figured what the hell. They’re all different genres so when I get bored with playing a fighting game I’ll switch on over to a shooter, and once I get bored with that I’ll go to an action RPG; you know, mix it up a bit. Oh, I’m also going to get my Galaxy Note 8.0 tomorrow as well! Hopefully the store has them in stock. Another thing is that I’ve noticed all my friends are nerds. They never want to do anything, they’d just rather stay home all day and play games. I love games as much as the next guy but damn, its Summer, let’s go out and have some fun too. Note to self: Make some new friends.
As I said in a previous post, I’verecently completed Sleeping Dogs and moved on to the DLC “Nightmare in North Point,” and lets just say that add on wasn’t was what I expected. Sure, it was funny and added some extra missions, but it was really short. I completed the entire thing in like an hour and a half. But I can’t complain much, after all, I did buy the game and the dlc back during Steam’s Spring Sale pricing error so in total I believe it was like $6 something. I got 18 hours of gameplay in total so I’d say I got more than my money’s worth.
I know I said I was going to go back into Soul Sacrifice but I’ve been rage quitting a lot in that game recently. I’m up to the mission where you have to solo a Cyclops, the most I’ve done was gotten it’s health to orange before I died. It’s the god damn spider’s and their annoying web skill that keeps fucking me up; the Cyclops’s spinning move doesn’t help neither. So instead I’ve decided to just tackle another game on my Steam backlog, I decided on playing Bastion, a game I picked up during a humble bundle deal(by the way, the game plays like ass with mouse and keyboard in my opinion.) I don’t think I’ll be playing much this weekend because I have my final scene due Tuesday for my acting class and I still don’t got my lines memorized, plus there’s also some writing work I got to do as well for that class.
On another note, RIT finally got my transcript so all that’s left now is for them to review my application. I don’t think I mentioned it before but I applied for game design and programming. I spend most of my time doing game related things, so I figured I might as well make a living out of making games. Yes, I know making games and playing them are two completely different things but honestly nothing else inspires me so yea. Hopefully I get accepted, it’s a really expensive school, plus I’d have to move and live on campus since I live in NYC, but I’ll worry about that once I know if I got accepted or not, NYU already rejected my application so I’m pretty bummed out about that.
I’m about two missions away from finishing the main story, boy what a ride it’s been. The game does have some weird little issues, like a few bugs here and there and the “girlfriend system” which is nothing more than little awkward missions(and one makes Wei look like a stalker). Luckily I have one of the DLC’s, the zombie one. Which I’m happy I bought since I’m not quite ready to move on from this game. Most likely what I’ll do afterwards is give Soul Sacrifice my full attention as I’ve been neglecting that game recently. Two of my friends are already max level so I’m way behind(If I remember correctly both my levels combined equal about 40).
Oh yea, I just found out there’s only two more weeks of school left, when I originally thought there was actually 3 so you could imagine how excited I am about that. 😀
Well not much going on this weekend. Most likely I’ll continue playing Sleeping Dog & Soul Sacrifice. I must say, Sleeping Dogs is quite a surprise. The story is really enjoyable and there’s a lot of content in the game. Unlike other games that has a bunch of collectables that do absolutely nothing Sleeping Dog actually does, either by rewarding you by increasing your max health or finding new clothing. Pretty sweet, really underrated game if you ask me. Soul Sacrifice just continues to be amazing.
I still haven’t completed the main story, I’m up to the Cerberus boss, I forget which chapter it’s on but its amazing. The story is great and pretty sad. My favorite story so far are the side stories though. The one about the man raised my a monster is both depressing and sweet. The reason I’m not that far in story mode though is because I’ve been play a lot of co-op with my friends. As soon as I get on my Vita the first thing I do is check if my buds are online. Currently I’m level 32 light and 7 dark, my friends are nearly max level though so I tend to be more of a burden on the team but it’s all good. They help me level up and I keep the heat off them, I react quite quickly so it’s not like they revive me much unless I get 1 hit ko’d. Lately I’ve also been having an itch to get back into LittleBigPlanet Vita again, been feeling like getting my creative juices flowing and making a level. I’m not sure on what exactly, but it’ll hit me once I start playing. Most likely it’ll be a challenge level since those are the easiest and my favorite to make.
Woo, I can’t wait till Thursday so I can finally play it! Playstation is also having a really neat sale for a majority of the characters in Battle Royale. I’m thinking about getting Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker for the PS3 so I can actually use one of its main features. Plus I might be able to actually beat the bosses legit. I’ll admit it, I cheated to beat the bosses, they were hard as hell, felt cheap in my opinion. But, before I actually start to consider it I want to beat kingdom of Amalur first(which is very boring by the way.) Shouldn’t take too long since I’m up to the second to last quest.
Also on an unrelated note, I’ve been having some serious ankle pains for the last month and a half. The doctor originally have me pain killers and told me to come back if the pain continues but me being as lazy as I am, i brushed it off. But it’s gotten really bad lately, even when I’m sitting or something I get a kind of burning sensation near the area. I made an appointment to go see whatever the foot doctor calls themselves, so hopefully it’s nothing too serious, and I can get rid of this pain once and for all.
Soul Sacrifice’s demo will finally be released today which means I’ll finally make my decsion later today as to wither i want it or not. It looks like another Monster Hunter clone and I’m not really a fan of that franchise, but, at the same time I also did actually enjoy Gods Eater which is also a MH clone. So I’ll have an open mind with this one. Honestly I hope its good because I don’t really have much to play on my Vita at the moment.
