I haven’t posted anything in a while because in all honesty nothing interesting has been going on in my life(social and gaming). I have playing Smite recently, might post an impression on that in a week or two. But besides April is ending pretty soon which means E3 is 1 month closer(when is it, mid June?) so I figured I’d make a short list of games I’d like to see during E3. Now obviously I want to see new IPs but since I can’t predict them this list is mostly stuff we know of or exist in some shape or form, also if anyone is reading this and remembers the games I wanted to see at E3 2013 knows the two obvious games that’ll be on this list so I’ll just get those out-of-the-way now.
God dammit Bethesda, I know you’re making the freaking game, let us see it already! Also a few other notes, NO XBOX EXCLUSIVE DLC! & no cross gen, only current gen systems please. I’m hoping the gameplay improves on Fallout New Vegas instead of going on Fallout 3(which was the one developed by Bethesda). Few other things I want to see on Fallout 4 is a better third person camera, I like to see my character, after all, what’s the point of having a customized character if I can’t even see him/her, hell, I can’t even see their feet. Which is another thing I hope Fallout 4 has, letting me see my character’s body when I look down. There are some mods that already do this on PC but it would be nice to have that in there day one. Also no dumbing down, please. Skyrim was really shallow because it was dumb downed to appeal to casuals. It’s so bad in fact that personally I find the vanilla gameplay absolutely unplayable, it’s extremely boring.
Super Smash Bros 4
Obvious is obvious. This is the game that will make me purchase a Wii U. I want this game to be playable at E3, which will most likely happened for at least the 3DS version since that version comes out in the Summer(fingers crossed that it’s no later than mid July). Also for the love of god give me my Mewtwo! And like I’ve mention in my previous post I still wan’t to see Ridley just to have someone who’s the complete opposite of Little Mac(Huge and is only good in the air). Now with the two obvious ones out the way lets start with games I haven’t mentioned before. Continue reading
Truthfully nothing interesting has been going on in my life lately(social wise), shocking, I know. BUT, my gaming life has been pretty sweet. I’ve finally finish The Witcher 2, my first playthrough was on Iorveth’s side. Holy shit, the first two acts in the game were LOOOOOOONG. I didn’t even know the game was split up in 3 acts until on my 12th hour of gameplay I finished the first act. All I thought to myself was “da fuck!? that was all one act, how many freaking acts are in the game!?” Not that I dislike long games, it’s just that it got me off guard.I’ll go back soon for another playthrough on Roche’s side. This time I’ll play on normal. Yea, that’s right. I played on easy; game is super hard. 😛
Also, I’ve pre-ordered GTA5 on psn. Normally I’m highly against pre-ordering/purchasing retail games on psn because they’re marked full price, but I made an exception this ONE time because both my brother and I would like to play GTA Online together. Red Dead Redemption was my favorite multiplayer game this gen, so if GTA is even half as good as that I’d be more than happy, though I’m sure it’ll be way better.
Um, let’s see… I also bought Spelunky today on PSN. game is hard as balls. Still haven’t gotten past 1-3. Its is really fun though; and I’m very shocked but I think I actually like how the game looks more on the Vita than I do on the PS3. I know, weird, right?
AAAAANNNNNND lastly, tonight is my final day of Summer. Tomorrow I have to wake up early for my first day of school. Super disappointed when I found out I started school so early. Every school I’ve ever been to has always started on Sept. 9, Y U START SO EARLY, BROOKLYN COLLEGE!? So yea, I’ll make a new post tomorrow or something on how my first day back goes. By the way, this is a new school, so I got to make friends all over again, what a drag. >_>
Finally steam got something I want to buy, I picked up Tomb Raider, I was going to pick up hitman but I think I won’t be able to pick it up today so I’ll have to wait till it goes on sale again. Also, Elder Scrolls Online is awesome, don’t want to talk about it though since the NDA and all.
Oh joy, while I was handling some paper work for school and donating blood(yes, had a “busy” day) I got an email on the train ride home saying I’m invited to the ESO beta this weekend! Well, looks like I know what I’ll be doing 🙂 Only problem is that the email doesn’t have a beta key or a way to download the launcher. I sent in a ticket, hopefully I can get that solved before the beta starts. I’m really interested to see how the game plays out. I’m hoping when the game does come out its a a one time pay like Guild Wars 2. I have literally zero intentions of paying full price for a game then 10-15 a month after that. Why anyone would willingly do that is beyond my understanding. Plus f2p always, ALWAYS end up being pay to win eventually. Sure, a game with a one time payment + cash shop might also do that but I have more faith in that pricing model that F2P. So while I wait on that reply from them I’ll go back to Persona 4 Golden, beat that fucking bear that takes forever and a day to run out of HP.
Well, thats it folks, my hard drive has died on me. I was about to back up a bit more files before this would happen but guess I was too late. It’s not all that bad though, I saved a majority of what I wanted. I ordered a 1TB hard drive instead of 2 that way I can save some money for the Steam Sale. Greenmangaming Had DmC for like $12 when you added the 25% off coupon but it’s not working any more so I’ll just pass until it goes back to that price on some other website. My hard drive arrives next week so no Witcher 2 for me till that time. Just when I was finally starting to get the hang of the game too :P. I guess I’ll use the time to catch up on some of my PS3 backlog and continue playing Persona 4 Golden. They added Battlefield 3 to PS+ yesterday so I’m playing a bit of that. I’m complete garbage at it, that’s why I originally sold it but eh what the hell, its still a pretty fun game anyway.
RIP Hard Drive, you had a very short life(less than a year) but you did a great job in your short time alive, hopefully your successor ends up being better than you.
My hard drive is dying!! it makes an irritating clicking sound every now and then and when it does it my pc starts to slow down tremendously. I’m currently backing up files, you know the important shit. School work, short stories I’ve typed, some funny gifs and pictures, game saves, and my Fallout New Vegas file. I really hope I don’t lose all my mods. It was such a pain in the ass when I switched over from my laptop to a PC. Had to redownload everything because for some reason my NV would crash all the time. This time I’m copying over my Nexus mod manager and my NV folder.
It sucks that my hard drive is dying though, I haven’t even had it for a year well, I’m going to look around Amazon or Newegg and see what I can find. Thinking of getting a 2TB Western Digital HDD. I hear it’s a good brand, hopefully it doesn’t crap out on me in less than a year like this one did >_>. I was planning on starting my Witcher 2 playthough today, guess that’ll go on hold. Plus, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing anything this summer during the Steam sale since most likely I’ll end up spending my entire steam budget on a new hard drive 😦 Guess I’ll have to wait till the winter; maybe I can get some of the money from my aunt who owes me like $1.5k(it’s a long story, don’t ask.) and I might be able to still buy stuff. I don’t know, we’ll see.
What a dull game. I tried the first level in arcade mode(which is basically horde mode) and uninstalled the game afterwords, it wasn’t my cup of tea since I’m not really one of those aim for high scores kind of guy. Took me five hours to beat the story. Only thing that kept me going through the game was the notes scattered throughout the world, honestly it’s the only interesting thing about the game. In story mode you’ll visit three different areas three times, each one containing its own damsel in distress. Each mission is practically a fetch quest, “Alan, go do this so you can get that.” Also all the missions are the same thing as well, just slightly altered.Honestly there isn’t much for me to say about this game. If you enjoyed Alan Wake 1 and want to buy American Nightmare for its story(like I did) don’t bother. However, if you’re one of those people who like arcade type games or horde mode I’d recommend it, but wait till it’s like 5 dollars or less, it’s really not worth more than that to me. Each wave gets tougher, hell, I almost didn’t even finish the one round I played cause there were so many enemies.
