OH NOEZ!!

My hard drive is dying!! it makes an irritating clicking sound every now and then and when it does it my pc starts to slow down tremendously. I’m currently backing up files, you know the important shit. School work, short stories I’ve typed, some funny gifs and pictures, game saves, and my Fallout New Vegas file. I really hope I don’t lose all my mods. It was such a pain in the ass when I switched over from my laptop to a PC. Had to redownload everything because for some reason my NV would crash all the time. This time I’m copying over my Nexus mod manager and my NV folder.

It sucks that my hard drive is dying though, I haven’t even had it for a year :/ well, I’m going to look around Amazon or Newegg and see what I can find. Thinking of getting a 2TB Western Digital HDD. I hear it’s a good brand, hopefully it doesn’t crap out on me in less than a year like this one did >_>. I was planning on starting my Witcher 2 playthough today, guess that’ll go on hold. Plus, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing anything this summer during the Steam sale since most likely I’ll end up spending my entire steam budget on a new hard drive šŸ˜¦ Guess I’ll have to wait till the winter; maybe I can get some of the money from my aunt who owes me like $1.5k(it’s a long story, don’t ask.) and I might be able to still buy stuff. I don’t know, we’ll see.

Woo, Beat Another Game!

I beat Max Payne 3 today, that’s another game off the backlog! Making some progress, brah! Up next is Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. I think I might also play Mario Galaxy 2 while I’m playing the other 3(which you can see on the “What I’m Playing” page.)Ā  I sold my Wii ages ago so I play my Wii games on Dolphin, which is a Wii/Gamecube emulator for those who don’t know. It has its pros and cons. Some games have some glitches, for example, both Mario Galaxy games have audio glitches where the background music stops playing after a while and that can be a problem after boss fights as the game will freeze, that sucks cause the little music I’ve heard from the game is actually pretty cool. On the other hand though, you can play games in sweet, sweet HD. Let me just say that there’s a HUGE difference once the game is in HD. I recommend giving the emulator a shot if your PC can handle it. You can even use a Wii mote with the emulator too if you want, I prefer using my MLG PS3 controller though.

Oh yeah, I got some good news about my problem with school if anyone’s interested. I fixed the problem with the class they were saying I was missing over the phone so I was able to save myself the long ride home, and also I got an email from Hunter College telling me I got in. It’s not the school I want but if I don’t hear anything from Brooklyn College within the next two weeks I’m just going to settle with Hunter. I want to stop worrying about school as soon as possible so I can start enjoying my Summer vacation and also get an idea of what my schedule will be like in the Fall so I can get a job that’ll play nice with my schedule.

Well, until tomorrow my friends! I’m going to play a bit of Fallout: New Vegas, even though it’s a glitch fest it’s one of my favorite games, it’s that good. Speaking of which, I decided I’m going to start my best and worst games of the generation sometime this week, but I’ll only be doing the negative side first, I want to play The Last of Us and see if I should put it on my list as best something on my list since all I hear is praise for the game. So make sure to look out for that! Night, everyone; it’s gonna be 12am here in NYC and I’m getting sleepy @_@.

I Just Wasted My Time

I woke up early to go to school today to go fix their error and they were closed… Two hours I wasted going over there just to go back home… I’m supposed to fix this by Monday or else I’m assed out, but monday IS the only day I can do it because they sent me this shit so fucking late and they don’t work Friday-Sunday! I could’ve used that time to go to the gym or something but instead I wasted a pointless trip. Fuck them, seriously they can all fuck off. I’m going to go play some good ol’ video games to cool off. I’m in love with Persona 4 Golden, it’s just oozing with style. Freaking love the soundtrack. I don’t think I’m going to beat Persona 4 Arena, it’s basically two genres I’m not too fond of, visual novels and fighting games. Shame too since I’m enjoying the story. I think I’m just going to read an in depth summary of it.

So Apparently I’m Missing a Class…

96376-img-331256-1-fuuuuuuuuuuu_2d00_600x450

And because of that I can’t graduate. Here’s the kicker, I’VE ALREADY TAKEN THE FUCKING CLASS!! Now I have to go waste my time to go to school to fix THEIR error. Seriously, so many fucking hurdles to keep going to school. Hell, I still don’t even know if I’m going to Brooklyn College or not, and if they won’t let me graduate because of this I’ll have to wait till September because they sent out the letter literally the last day to sign up for classes, unfucking believable. What they getting paid for is beyond me if they can’t even send out lettersĀ  this important earlier. I’m really starting to get fed up with this whole fucking system. I’m just about ready to say fuck it all, drop out and get a full-time job, I really am.

My Ceiling is Leaking!

Oh my Jesus the landlord is such a frustrating man. My room has been having this problem for whats going to be two years in a couple of months and it STILL does this! Every time we tell him about it what I assume he does is simply “fixes” the spot with the problem when he goes to the roof and that’s obviously not working. He needs to redo the whole fucking roof or something, apparently before we moved in here the ceiling in my room has collapsed before. I’m a really light sleeper so I had to share a bed with my brother, that dripping sound was beyond frustrating. So besides that little issue, starting today all my friends are officially employed! Looks like I’m the only one who still doesn’t have a job. I should change that once Summer is over, I’mĀ  going to be 20 pretty soon and don’t have much experience working outside the family business(which is something I want to get out of.) I’m still waiting for an email from Brooklyn College telling me if I got in or not. I’d assume I’m getting in no problem since I definitely have the grades for it but I need to pick out classes for the Fall semester, I have no doubt that I’ll have a shitty schedule since I still haven’t gotten to apply. I just hope it’s not too shitty. The good news is that Brooklyn College is a lot closer to home than my previous school was. It took me about an hour to get home when I went over there compared to the nearly two hour ride home from my previous college. Also getting Persona 4: Golden today. Hopefully it arrives early so I can play it!

Since I’m getting a new Vita game today I attempted to beat Magusar again in Soul Sacrifice. When I originally went up against him he killed me quickly, but when I tried again he’s really easy. I destroyed him, man. Only had to heal like twice and that was it. I liked the ending, it was pretty tragic, but that makes sense since the game’s lore isn’t a happy one. I’m planning on beating Magusar again to watch the save ending and see how that turns out. Also, just cause I beat the final boss doesn’t mean I’m done. Still got a bunch of Avalon Pacts I haven’t completed plus multiplayer is a blast to play.

Whats Going On

Now that school is done I’ve just been relaxing and playing some games. Although not as much as I usually do since E3 was this week, overall it was a great show this year. Plus, I’ve been busy going to the gym, trying to get in better shape. So far I’ve gotten around to beating Bastion and stealthy completed Sly Cooper 4 Thieves in Time. Sly Cooper’s final boss was trash, the entire fight was quick time events. I despise those with a passion, hopefully we see less of those next-gen. I’m still playing through Soul Sacrifice, I’ve been neglecting my poor Vita(and so has Sony if E3 is anything to go by). All that I got left to do is beat Magusar, story wise that is. I still got a bunch of multiplayer quest that I haven’t beaten. I noticed a lot of people online only do sacrifice, it’s pretty annoying since I’m trying to go 99/1, but oh well.

I’ve ordered me a new game too, Persona 4: Golden. I pretty much already know what happens plot wise since I’ve seen the anime but I hear it’s a great game even if you already know the plot. I hope it’s not too grindy like Persona 3Ā  was. I mean I’ll still beat it, it’s just that if it is, it’ll take me a lot longer. So since I’m getting Golden I thought I should try to beat Persona 4: Arena. I’ve been having it since Black Friday and I only bought it for the story mode, I don’t really like fighting games so I don’t care for the online or any of that. While I’ll be playing that on my PS3 I’ll also be playing Max Payne on PC. By the way, Max Payne is HARD! Holy shit, man. It’s so hard I had to switch the game over to easy. I really suck at shooting games. Normally I like to only play two games at a time but I figured what the hell. They’re all different genres so when I get bored with playing a fighting game I’ll switch on over to a shooter, and once I get bored with that I’ll go to an action RPG; you know, mix it up a bit. Oh, I’m also going to get my Galaxy Note 8.0 tomorrow as well! Hopefully the store has them in stock. Another thing is that I’ve noticed all my friends are nerds. They never want to do anything, they’d just rather stay home all day and play games. I love games as much as the next guy but damn, its Summer, let’s go out and have some fun too. Note to self: Make some new friends.

Finally Finished with Finals

I’m officially done with finals now, woohoo!! Now its time to enjoy my summer vacation. I took care of some paper work for school as well, the good news is that i might not actually lose a semester, but I’ll most likely have a shitty schedule if i am able to attend school for the fall semester. With school finally done i can focus on clearing my backlog and also read some manga that i haven’t had time to read, plus E3 starts monday, so hyped for that! Well, till sunday guys, I’ll be posting my E3 wish list for Nintendo and Sony that day; I wont be doing one for Microsoft since theres nothing they can show that’ll make me even consider buying a xbone.

Time for Finals!

Its that time of the year again. My feelings towards this time of year is a love and hateĀ  thing. On one side its arguably the most stressful week of school since a good chunk of your grade relies on these scores, but at the same time once you’re done it’s time to enjoy summer vacation! I’m really looking forward to this Summer as well, because this will be the first summer in like 4 years that I don’t have to attend Summer school! Just in case you’re wondering thr reason I go to summer school so much is to get some extra school work done, not because I failed a class and needed to attend. The other thing I hate about finals is that I NEVER study until like the hour before the test, and I really can’t do that this time since I have to type a monologue to hand in and present on Thursday for my acting class; ugh, I hate me. Good luck, everyone!

I’m Pretty Sure My Life Hates Me

a9462-img-331256-1-fuuuuuuuuuuu_2d00_600x450

Today I got both good and bad news in the mail. Good news, I got into RIT! Exciting isn’t it? Finally my ticket out of this place. But, knowing my life there’s always a catch. The catch this time was that yes I did get into RIT, but I can’t go for Game Design & Development because the program is full or some mumbo jumbo, instead the letter says to contact them so I can choose a different major. Whats the point in going if I can’t go for what I want to do? Plus on top of that, I was looking up scholarships to help reduce the cost of the school and I can’t get any of them. So not only can I not go for what I want, but I also can’t get a scholarship to afford it if I do decide to go for a different major. Did I forget to mention that all the CUNY schools I applied to have a wrong social security number(a mistake on THEIR part since I have a copy of my application which has my actual social security) that I still haven’t gotten fixed because their office is only open Monday through Thursday? Damn man, I was really looking forward to getting out of this place, but doesn’t look like that’s happening anytime soon. I suppose I should be a little happy that they’re at least giving me the opportunity to go but with a different major, unlike NYU which just flat out rejected me. I’m feeling really down, man. Just once I wish things would go my way. :/

Time to Play Bastion + More of My Life

As I said in a previous post, I’verecently completed Sleeping Dogs and moved on to the DLC “Nightmare in North Point,” and lets just say that add on wasn’t was what I expected. Sure, it was funny and added some extra missions, but it was really short. I completed the entire thing in like an hour and a half. But I can’t complain much, after all, I did buy the game and the dlc back during Steam’s Spring Sale pricing error so in total I believe it was like $6 something. I got 18 hours of gameplay in total so I’d say I got more than my money’s worth.

I know I said I was going to go back into Soul Sacrifice but I’ve been rage quitting a lot in that game recently. I’m up to the mission where you have to solo a Cyclops, the most I’ve done was gotten it’s health to orange before I died. It’s the god damn spider’s and their annoying web skill that keeps fucking me up; the Cyclops’s spinning move doesn’t help neither. So instead I’ve decided to just tackle another game on my Steam backlog, I decided on playing Bastion, a game I picked up during a humble bundle deal(by the way, the game plays like ass with mouse and keyboard in my opinion.) I don’t think I’ll be playing much this weekend because I have my final scene due Tuesday for my acting class and I still don’t got my lines memorized, plus there’s also some writing work I got to do as well for that class.

On another note, RIT finally got my transcript so all that’s left now is for them to review my application. I don’t think I mentioned it before but I applied for game design and programming. I spend most of my time doing game related things, so I figured I might as well make a living out of making games. Yes, I know making games and playing them are two completely different things but honestly nothing else inspires me so yea. Hopefully I get accepted, it’s a really expensive school, plus I’d have to move and live on campus since I live in NYC, but I’ll worry about that once I know if I got accepted or not, NYU already rejected my application so I’m pretty bummed out about that.
